we have one of those around here. the guy retired from PG&E, and needs to hook up three or four sub panels direct from the pole out front. Additionally, he must get a permit from the city every year. It's not choreographed like this as much, but he has a helluva lot more lights. Even has a santa out front with a (throne?), kids sit on santa's lap for free and get pictures taken. free choco chip cookies, hot cocoa, and people singing carols. always a big picture in the paper (manteca bulletin), and the traffic out front is crazy. Easy a hundred people out there looking. in the paper, he said the electricity runs him about a thousand a month.
he claims he puts up over 130,000 lights and takes him and his crew a over a month to set up.
