Rawdeal is currently battling a severe case of ennui and declares his last post way back in 2022 his last post in here.

I see what you did there. Ennui is a good one. I need to get a vanity plate with that on it. That is my entire existence.

Must being existential always essential for you, beef?

I have to fill all this ennui-saturated free time with something.

Today's word is:

isochronal

pronounced either: eye-SAH-kruh-nuhl, or eye-suh-KRO-nuhl

The word is an adjective that means equal in time, or occurring at regular intervals.

From the Greek iso- (equal) + chronos (time). Earliest documented use: 1680.

I like this word, but seems like the word "periodic" has taken over and is used whenever either word works.

Today's word is:

castaneous

pronounced ka-STAY-nee-uhs

The word is an adjective meaning deep reddish-brown.

From the Latin castanea (chestnut). Earliest documented use: 1688.

This is a cool word. Just not sure when or where I can use it. If I used it to describe a woman's hair, my wife would give me a look....

Definitely check that out and show my daughter as well.
I love reading! I despise writing!! I use talk to text and I guess I have a speech impediment that only Google picks up. That is probably why all my posts become grammatical word stews, oh we will thrown in this random word, then another random word over here. My hands shake to much for me to go back and fix by typing. Lol
