What's New?

Weight loss drugs, why do I hate them?

Does the Reta itself significantly improve bloodwork?

Or is it the reduction in calories and lack of binging and reduced cravings for alcohol/fat/sugar?

That is to say, would Joe Blow have different bloodwork if he didn’t run retatrutide and instead just ate the exact same diet as his twin brother Bo, who did run retatrutide in order to maintain the diet his brother Joe did with just discipline?

I’m guessing there’s a difference, I’m just wondering how big the difference is.
According to my coach, he has seen the best bloodwork with himself and his clients while using reta. For many of them 2025 was not their first year competing nor their first year with him but it was their first with reta. Apparently, it keeps LDL lower while on blast mode, helps keep HDL up, etc..

That would be more aligned with this group. Now taking us fatties from obese to lean, yeah of course I had better blood panels by losing 20 pounds and exercising regularly. Without any drugs at all.

BUT... if you could be deep in a cut getting ready for a show, on whatever you're on, and taking a bit of reta could help you with a better lipid panel and blunt hunger a bit, why not? I wouldn't touch DNP with a 20-foot pole but I'm sure plenty of people here may. When I hear of people using DNP it blows my mind. Maybe you feel the same about GLP, but I would still buy some Eli Lilly stock before Reta gets cleared by the FDA if I was you.

To piggy back off this, and because I didn’t really add context.. and I don’t think it was mentioned here yet….
GF was micro dosing Reta while taking pretty heavy GH.. 20iu+ and had great A1C the whole time. There seems to be some blood glucose mitigation with GH even at very large doses that helps maintain insulin sensitivity. On 4mg Reta split biweekly I got full labs done with 12.5 IU 3 hours prior and had really great a1c numbers as well. This is what I meant by the synergistic Relationship of these two compounds

and that is with much less than clinical trials use. I have heard mixed opinions on using reta while bulking. With it slowing down digestion it could be difficult to eat enough to grow. But I think GF was saying that with slowing digestion and not just shitting all your food out that you could grow on less food because it's staying in your system and you are actually digesting food. Forgive me if I am remembering this comment incorrectly.

From what I have heard it's difficult to fill back out so if you are using it and getting ready to step on stage you should pull it a couple weeks prior.

Thanks for the discussion. I’m not interested in cutting just yet and typically have very little trouble getting lean. But who knows..

The health benefits at low dose are intriguing, except for the fact you can’t run it nonstop. But as a mitigator for heavy GH or slin runs, it makes sense.

I don’t have trouble seeing why select people would choose to use it. I guess it’s the general attitude that most of the fat people have that it’s a miracle and they can keep being lazy and pathetic and they don’t even have to be ashamed about it.

Unlike steroids where you still have to lift weights like an animal in the gym and calculate your meals, these drugs are just a pure excuse for lazy people. The problem is that the bill comes in the form of irreversible medical issues.

Just yesterday I was reading on another subreddit how some people are left with lifelong gastroparesis from these injections.

From there I ended up searching for legal details and read a GLP-1 lawsuit guide to understand how it is possible for something like this to still be on the market. Therefore, it is way better to be a massive guy who pushes himself daily, than to chemically destroy yourself just to look skinny in clothes.

For me Reta has completely changed my bloodwork. I’m consistent with diet and cardio. But because I neglected shit when I hit 50 I ended up with an a1c of 8.3. I fought it for a year and have kept it around 6. With Reta I will come back normal on my next labs
My diet is for maintenance right now and I’m just starting to get back into comp prep. For me it allows me to utilize carbs again without a damaging blood sugar level that hangs out.
I think the biggest issue with perception is lazy people take this lose a shit ton of weight and don’t try to learn anything.
I’m dialed in I wear a cgm to learn what works and what doesn’t.

The other thing to add. I’m not using it to lose weight. More so for the health aspect. I’m microdosing I will freak out I I start losing muscle mass. I do dexa scans every six weeks for my sanity
