I always forget about the differences in food between the US and everywhere else. I remember a special years ago on this and the food companies and their differences in ingredients

Is the US shooting for longer shelf life in most of these products? Clearly most would probably choose the UK version if they had a choice. All these extra additive makes are kidneys and liver work harder. I'm sure there will be long term health consequences down the road if this isnt regulated more closely.

The consequences ARE here. Look at the avg American.
This practice of toxic ingredients in foods has been going on for decades in the US.

It's amazing how most people are completely oblivious to the actual ingredients in the food they eat. I watch people at the grocery store all the time just throwing stuff in their carts. Carts FULL of groceries and only about 1/4 of it is actual food. The rest is a science experiment that tastes good. Not only that, but they're oblivious to the differnce between eating clean and eating healthy. Just because something has a good looking macro nutrient profile, doesn't mean the ingredients are healthy for you. I feel blessed being a part of the bodybuilding and fitness world and having this knowledge, but it's a curse at the same time because I feel bad watching people who just have no clue.
