So I'm doing this log in an attempt to keep myself focused, and have a better training cycle than the last one.
August 29th, I competed at the Boss of Bosses 2 event in Mountain View, Ca. I didn't do anywhere near as well as I had hoped. Ended up with a 1829 total @ 242 in just sleeves. My YouTube channel link is in my sig.
This was by far the lightest I had ever competed, and with the help of ECB I cut about 22lbs the last 36hours or so before weigh ins, and was able to gain all that weight back before stepping on the platform. In the past I typically weighed in around the 280-285 range, so that was quite a difference.
This was also my first meet in over a year, at which I tore my adductor, lower abdomen, and in turn developing a giant hematoma where the ab tore. It has been a constant battle since then, with the amount of scar tissue that developed in that area, and also because it will never go away. My body is constantly adjusting and readjusting to the scar tissue, since it has shifted several times since the initial injury. It's a little bigger than a golf ball and is rock hard, just to give you an idea lol.
My next meet will be the LA Fit expo January 24. So I have just under 20 weeks to get my ass in gear.
My biggest focus this cycle will be squats, as it's my weakest lift by far. Right before the injury I finally had it to a respectable number, so I want to get it to at least there.
