Awesome to hear and read. I think you were wise to still play it safe. You know you'll come back and get that weight , and after that some more weight, and after that....

The satisfaction of progress and no setback is a great feeling.

Thanks broski. I was pulling from a 6 inch deficit 425 x 5/6 so there's a lot to get back to where I was....but I was also "on" without injury at the time so I'm trying to be patient. I'm slowly getting back the hard strength that I was lacking. But also, I want it more now too.

Awesome progress....keep up the safe and steady progress.

Thanks TnA!

Read your log from the beginning and at first was really bummed out for you. By the end it had me thinking it'll all be (the physical and mental setbacks) a blessing in disguise. I bet that 405 felt amazing. Keep pushing Big Homie!

Looks like you are on the path to kickin ass.

Thanks bro....long ass road....lost a ton of strength and size since the injury but I'll surpass that this year. New beginnings. Thanks for swinging through.

Thanks bro....I keep forgetting to respond to your email...fukk! Yea, it felt good for sure....it's been a long uphill battle so far. mental, emotional etc.....hopefully I get the 100% clear to keep pushing instead of surgery or any rigorous PT that may set me back. I'll be pulling high 4's again this year barring any setbacks.

Last night:

Tried something new to shock the system...

Squats:
Bar x whatever
135 x 10
135 x 10
135 x 30 (yes, 30)
135 x 30
225 x 10 drop set
135 x 27

Box jumps-full squat at the top
10 jumps x 3

Ab wheel, some quick weighted crunches and I was out.

In and out, 30 mins and tried to make the most of it.....ass and hammies are already sore. Tomorrow should suck.

Didn't eat enough today.....had to kind of cut the workout short as I had the shakes pretty bad at the end.

Broke out the slingshot today to gain some confidence and acclimate to throwing some more on the bar....still feel very weak.

Bench:
Bar x whatever x 2
135 x 10
155 x 5
185 x 5
205 x 3
slingshot
225 x 7
225 x 7
225 x 7
225 x 7
drop set, took off sling shot
135 x 12 and arms were shaking.

Dips
BW x 10
BW x 10
BW x 6 (hit the wall).

8 sets of rope tricep extensions, supersets, drop sets etc.

Did 6 sets of random ab stuff and I was racing to throw a pop tart in my mouth at the store. Had some carbs and felt better.

Get those cals in man! I eat a one cup of oats, two cups 2% milk, 1 medium banana every morning. 654 cals and it keeps me going enough to get through midday workouts without more carbs. I still try to get a pre and post meal, but work and life do not always agree to it. Another thing that helps is pre planning and preparing a day or two worth of food in advance. I keep a couple pounds of baked chicken, 18 hard boiled eggs, and cans of tuna ready at all times. In emergency drink milk. 12.3 grams of sugar per 8oz of 2% tho.
