FAT CARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First, Joshua Van and Tatsuro Taira Got moved to UFC 328 due to a minor injury from Van (We who have cut weight know he was 4 lbs. heavy and the weight was not coming off and they were scared bout missing weight if you ask me) Still a fantastic card.
Jiri vs Ulberg is a crazy fight Jiri was at the top and just could not get past Pereira 2x Ulberg has won 9 in a row. He has beaten top ten guys llike Volkan, Jan Blan, and Dom Reyes. Jiri is a step up. Ulberg has POWER, but Jiri can weather storms (save from Alex) Jiri last the 2 against Alex but other than that had not lost since 2016. Jiri is a finisher, he has won all but 1 of his 32 pro wins but KO/TKO or sub and onlt 3 subs. he has only lost 1 x by decision. This guy is GOOD! Ulberg has only lost 1x back in 2021 against a gatekeeper by KO. I will watch just for this fight.
Azamat Murzakanov Vs Paulo Costa is not listed on my card but here it is. Azmat has 8 wins, all by strikes save one decision since 2019 and NO LOSSES (He does a have a sub on his record but it is a tap due to strikes. Costa is a top guy. He seems to be the guy they give up and comers to see if they are worthy of the number by the name. He has lost 4 out of his last 6 vs some of the top guys. he has won the 2 against a washed up Rockhold and an up and comer Roman Kopylov who was surging. Costa will make this a fight.
Blaydes vs Hokit Curtis lost against Aspinal and Pav who are the tops in the division. He is 50% in his last 4. Hokit has never lost and never been to a decision. 5 KO/TKOs and 3 subs. This is a BIG step up for him. If he wins he will be ranked.
Dom reyes vs Walker is a perfect fight. Two strikers, neither guy will fight for the title but still tough matches. Reyes was on a 4 fight slide then amazingly came back with 3 in a row all by KO/TKO vs tough guys. He did loose to Ulberg in his last outing but that dude is ELITE! Walker seems to have peaked and has chin troubles. He did win his last fight and has NASTY calf kicks. Dom is more of a boxer. Interesting.
Pitbull vs Pico In this fight, PB is the crafty vet. Similar number of KO/TKO wins, subs and decisions. He is almost 40 and is not the same as he was back in Bellator. Pico wants to take your head off. He is also a Bellator alum and has only 1 fight in the UFC which he lost via spinning back elbow.
I will not go into the rest of these as I hate typing but Holland vs Brown will be slow chess match of striking but really fun I think when it lights off. Cub vs Nate the train. Cub is very technical but old. Nate is a journeyman, tough as nails and fun to watch. And so on....
I look forward to what y'all think. What is your pick for FOTN?
