How did your recovery go?
Oh lawd. It sucked. Finally getting back to normal.
My thyroid, test, and estrogen levels are very low. I’m micro dosing enanthate, low dose of estrogen, and 90 mg of Np Thyroid prescription by a doctor. Getting bloodwork done Monday. I’ve kept a very high resting heart rate for the last six months.
Training, mood, sleep is back to normal. Thank God.
Thank you for asking.
The hernia has completely healed. I’m still feeling pain doing some different exercises.

Good to hear. Fortunately (knock on wood), I have not had that type of surgery but have had shoulder and lung surgery. The shoulder took two years to feel right and it still is not 100 percent. If you do not mind me suggesting, go slow and listen to your body. I know you are doing that. I had to remind myself daily for a while.

Yikes, those two hard to recover from surgeries. The hernia wasn’t bad.
I don’t plan on deadlifting or squatting heavy anymore. I’ve been getting the itch but my heart rate won’t let me if I wanted too. I was doing low reps of box squats with 235 my heart rate would go up to 190 each set.

235 is impressive.
Sounds like you are doing right.

I’ve been overwhelmed and overstimulated lately. It’s killed my motivation, mood, and energy.
I haven’t been on this forum much.
I joined another gym, so I’m getting my motivation and self esteem back. I have me a little Russian friend that she’s whooping my ass at least once a week. Pushing me back in my groove.

I get you.. sometimes life gets in the way of certain goals or wants. Work, relationships, society can eat away at your drive.

It sounds like you are getting your groove going and having someone to give you push is can be a good thing. And you will pay it forward when you can.

The little I know of you, is that you have the iron hunger and once you have felt it, lived it, there is no letting go until the Big Sleep gets you.

You are spot on.
Yes, always pay it forward. I actually had a gym friend he’s in his early sixties ex-football player huge dude. Tell me the other day my advice over the last year helped him drop 40+ pounds he’s able to be more active now. Little ole me. Made me feel good.

I just need a little push sometimes.
Just finished my work day and heading to the gym.
Thank you for the kind words.

Hey there, i totally get it girl.
But sounds like you are doing great things to get motivation back. Kudos to you!
Also, a girl at my gym just had hernia surgery a couple weeks ago (she last competed in Dec), she is itching to get back LOL.

Hang in there!

Thank you Bova! It has taken some time when it comes to heavier lifting.
I always wear a belt now. If I feel that area feeling tight I slack back off.
Feels good to get back to normal again. This getting older is for the birds
