Didn't Dave Waddington squat exactly 1000lb in 1981? Was that officially sanctioned?

The question was a grand raw and I don't believe anyone did it in the 80's no matter the weight class.

That was miss-written by me. Yes, I know about Lee Moran's squat and the fact he knocked himself off before he hit it is nothing short of amazing.

I meant and wrote previously that no one in the 220's squatted 1000 raw. Sam Byrd has the record and he's even shy of the grand mark.

That is what happens when you're trying to do several things at once.
