It's surprising. i have not studied it but I would think JAK2 mutation would use high hematocrit would appear earlier in life. Of course post menopausal it would go higher sine there is not the monthly blood loss.Good question. I just assumed if she was a bodybuilder and she has used testosterone previously. But then I also missed the "female" part. If this is the fist time, and the HCT is already slightly high, the JACK2 test is a must. Especially at 50 years old.
