Looks nearly identical to the Rogue one. Mrs Flex bought me one for Christmas but it's obviously too cold here for garage workouts so it's still in the box.

It does look exactly the same with 1 very big exception... it's literally 1/2 the price. That's what really excites me.

I was informed that when I begin the nursing program, I'll have to quit my job because it's not possible to work and go to school. I have to go full time and clinical rotation is in the afternoon while your class lectures are in the morning so there is no time. So, this year I'll be looking into scholarships, grants, and also find a way to take more in loans since my bills aren't going to wait 2 years for this last half of school.

This also explains why so many are switching to respiratory therapy. I don't know if that field is in demand but I do know they don't make as much.

All I know for certain is I'm not stopping... I've worked to hard and I refuse to let anything get in my way so I'll get through this and start a new chapter.

I didn't go to University until I was 27. It was brutal. Too many issues to type. But somehow I did it. As will you.

Don't listen to Flex... School takes time away from lifting.

If you quit now, you can be in the squat rack by lunch time !!

Not a bad day. There was no one in the gym that I trusted to give me a lift off or a spot so I dropped my last set on bench. Amazingly though, every set felt light and was performed with a pause.... even the 315 and 325. That's proof that my idea of overloading my training with chains for bench is working.

Now, I decided to add an additional med chain to my pause squats instead of adding bar weight. I could slightly feel it in my groin on my first 2 sets but the 3 after felt fine. I didn't realize the chain weight until I weighed it. I'm supposed to be doing pause squats with 385 and 415 bad weight. Today I did 325+114 for 5 sets which total 439 total weight so not bad since I'm working around this damn groin pull.

I'll have to give it some thought on my deadlift on Wed b/c my top set is supposed to be 455 for 2 sets of 5. I'll probably use chains on that and maybe even wear my powerpants. If you don't know, I don't like wearing my pp especially when deadlifting but I gotta be smart so I'll probably wear them.

That's my normal schedule:
Mon~ Bench/Squat
Wed~ Dead/OHP
Fri~ Squat/Bench

I've decided to wear my powerpants and utilize chains for this 4 week block. That will help aid in my healing and still let me push a bit.

Put on your big boy powerpants and get to work lifting that weight! LOL, sorry I couldn't help myself.

Love the addition of the chains to overload the muscles at the top of the movement without the additional stress caused by the acceleration of gravity that bands cause.

I personally don't like pulling with my powerpants but I'm not taking any chances with this groin/adductor so I did indeed wear them today and will wear them for this entire 4-week training block. I'll repeat this block and take out the chains but may still wear the powerpants to give it some additional support.

I'm generally not a fan at all of bands from the floor. The added weight isn't linear so that is a jolt to the body in terms of stress so you'll rarely see me use bands that way (only lift I use them on is my SLDL w/ DB). Now, I am a fan of reverse bands but again right now I think chains are easier on my groin so I'll stick with those. I'm trying to get relatively close to my working weight at the top of the lift while trying to keep the stress to an allowable amount for my groin to heal completely.

Sticking with my idea of utilizing chains and my powerpants to aid in the healing of my right groin/adductor.

Training went well today. I don't like wearing my pp when I deadlift but to bad... I need the additional support. I added 2 big chains which equal 85lbs of additional weight. Since I'm not going crazy and the weight ain't to bad, I opted to not wear my belt. I dropped the weight significantly on my SLDL b/c I didn't want to push it. 70's felt fine so next time I may jump it to 80's.

Not a bad day all things considered. Weights are still down but that's b/c my groin isn't 100% yet. I'm probably going to put icy/hot on my adductor before I train. I'm not crazy enough to put screaming toast on my adductor. I think I'll skip my active recovery week after next week to give it a whole week off. Going to use my ultrasound on it as well.
