How long do you rest between sets? I'm using the strong lifts app to track everything. The app says to wait 90 seconds to 3 minutes. Should I rest longer? Some of my lifts are getting heavy.

I would say it depends on your goals.
and what percentage of your max you are working with.

some of my stuff is rest as needed and some of it is on the minute. For me it all depends on where im at in my training rotation

I think rest is up to you.

5 minutes is a nice window to recover.

When I had my bench shirt on in the past I would rest 10-15 minutes inbetween sets. But you kinda need the rest. It fries you, haha.

But yea man, just go until you are ready.

Depends completely on your goals, how far out from a meet/comp you are and what you are actually trying to accomplish. Volume accumulation phases I tend to stick to slightly lower percentages with designated short rest periods to increase work capacity. Higher intensity (RPE not effort output) sets require more rest to be able to complete the next set. It will all change dependent on your goals
