Stretching, how important is it? Let me tell you!!

The NSCS journal did a study on stretching around 5 or 6 years ago. They found that stretching was best after a light 10 to 15 min warm up of a light jog or some sort of movement to " warm the body up" . It also found that stretching cold or, without this warm up led to more injuries. I stretch all the time. I do a few sets of body weight and bar only squats, then stretch my legs. Similar for other body parts.

There was 'another' medical study recently, I'll find link when i get chance but it kinda blew stretching out of the window and said some 10min of light cardio before any activity can be effective enough to get the blood pumping through the muscles enough to prepare them for some strenuous activity. I like to do some stretching and then some short light cardio then go hit the weights myself.

Well when you have tendinitis and don't stretch, try to go lift, then the next time stretch and go lift, you will see a BIG difference.
