Any thoughts on it? I know many critics are basically giving it a "C" as far as overall. I make no bones I am not a Biden fan and obviously lean to the Right, but it just didn't seem to have much bite to it. I think also Biden with a few of his missteps such as saying he was with "the Iranians" instead of "Ukranians" and other gaffs really didn't help the speech.

I see alot of what he is doing is basically what Bernie Sanders wanted and I just don't see it working. I think it was well played to start it off with the Ukraine but I thought the speech overall lost a lot of momentum quick. I tried to keep an open mind but left fairly unimpressed. I thought the Republican response was much better, and that's my governor, Kim Reynolds, and honestly I've not been overly impressed with her overall, but I will say the rebuttal at least seemed to have flow and some logic.

But the real pressing question, was Nancy Pelosi hammered? She looked smashed. Her eyes were all glassy and she kept smiling and laughing at points during the speech as well as looking all over. Meanwhile ol Kamela Harris I think basically stared at the back of Biden's head the whole time with that deadpan look on her face.

Pretty much my take on it. A very forgettable speech at a time this President really needed a homerun.

I think Pelosi took too many Prozacs or something and Harris was trying extra hard not to look like a doofus and succeeded.

There is just too much to go over his wretched speech. He hardly mentioned China, said he was ready for Putin when the Russians invaded Ukraine, gave himself credit for the highest job growth (more like people just going back to work and not new jobs created), mentioned that we are better today than a year ago, barely lifted the covid restrictions so he could take credit for it, praised LGBTQ and wants them to be recognized, didn't address the southern border (mentioned we need border reform, meanwhile 2 million illegals have crossed in the past year), mentioned he was going to select a radical judge to SCOTUS, etc, etc. Oh...he is still not going to open up our gas/oil reserves and is going to spend $$$ on weak solar energy that is still not reliable. Oh x2, lets not forget gun control from our 2nd Amendment. Oh x3, BBB (Build Back Better has been a waste and disaster.

He couldn't talk about anything positive he did, so he decides to talk about curing cancer.

He talks about funding the police, but all democratic ran cities and states are doing the opposite.

He talks about how Covid impacted our country, but it was his and the democratic ran states/cities who imposed those policies that fukked things up worse.

It's funny how he was caught wearing a mask outside walking by himself the other day, but a few days later (last night) it's like we don't need them It's like we magically got cured in a few days and everything is fine now....douchebag.

I'll give him a nice big fat F.

Had to laugh how "we were watching and we were ready for Russia (invading the Ukraine)." Sure you were. The UK and Canada (I think) were the first to act on sanctions and etc. I wished they would have panned out more. A few times you could see the Left popping up and clapping at anything he said. While McConnell, Cruz and McCarthy just sat there disgusted.

Yeah, I wasn't impressed by much what was said. But it was pretty much as expected.

I listened to his Iranian sentence a few times. It sounded like he said "Uranians," but hell who knows with this guy, lol.

Used Car salesman...lol! Anytime I've heard him give a speech since 08, it makes me feel bad for the people of Scranton, PA. I've never been there, but he makes it sound like you'd be better off living in Kyiv right now then Scranton.
