He was for periods. One chilling reminded years ago he scribbled" Stay alive" in crayon for his kids on their fridge. I can't see why he couldn't do methadone (it's ****ed up) but keeps people functional. Wanna know one of worst countries with Heroin problem ? Islamic Republic Of Iran-at least they acknowledge it and have needle exchanges and Methadone. Iran is responsible is for 80% of worlds Heroin/base seizures despite the death penalty. It's right next to Afghanistan. Doesn't help.
