First, thanks to all the guys who have helped me here...Great board here....

I promise, there is a specific question down below but here is some background.

Starting a first (lite) cycle - outlined below with my stats. I bike race so I am not looking to bulk - just an increase in power and strength and help with recovery times. I understand I will put on some muscle weight with this (and hopefully not too much water retention...)

My question is specific to diet. I've done my best to search prior to posting but couldn't find what I was looking for. I eat very well and clean. Fruits, nuts, vegs, proteins, casein shake at night. I stay away from diary generally and do limited snacking. My body is used to about 1800 - 2000 calories intake per day regardless of my cardio burn (which can be anywhere between 1,000-2,500 calories a day.)

Yes, finally... the actual question: Once on cycle, I am wondering if my diet needs to change at all? What promotes the "bulk? NOT Eating clean or too much protein? I'd say if anything I can cut down a bit and lean out a little more.

Thanks guys!

Why you're running var for a bulk blows my mind. But do what you gotta do. As for how you eat on cycle, you should certainly up the protein to at least 1.5g per pound of bodyweight.

You're in a heavy deficit , I would figure out your tee an eat at maintenance , prior to adding in the gear, replacing cardio sessions calories burnt as well, and then maintain that , stayin in the 1.2-1.5 g or protein per lb ...
As for what adds mass in general , off or on cycle is carbohydrates ...
