Hello! I'm 42, 5'9", 235 and around 15%. Been training for 8 months and need some solid advice, but I'm new to the forum and just wanted to say hi.


Welcome buddy!!! Best advice is read read read... tons of info from very knowledgeable folk on here.

If you are 5'9", 235 and 15% bf AND only been training 8 months......you need to give all of us some advice. Just drop about 10% bf and you should look something about like the guys below (actually, if your stats are correct you have a good bit more mass. You should make him look tiny!) Corney is 5'8 190 in this pic. Your LBM alone is 200 lbs. Assuming you drop to his bf level (9%ish) and that you lose 8lbs of lean mass getting there, you would be in his stage condition and your stage weight will be 210 @ 9%. (they did not diet as lean back then)

I am thinking at your stats you should be more like Mentzer (2nd pic) He was 5'9 and 215ish stage weight (just a guess) Said to weigh 235 offseason.

Truthfully, his hair is a bit longer than mine. No man, I missed 2 years because of a bike accident.

Good deal man. Good to get back to the gym. Was just pointing out that a guy 5'9 235 @ 15% is a VERY VERY big dude for sure.
