And I agree with @SAD on the water bottle opening. It really does make a difference in intake.

For example I have a 28 or 32oz stainless steel thermos with a strawed lid/opening because it's easier to drink from a straw while driving vs an open-mouthed bottle top.

But at home a have a spouted lid/opening thermos I keep in my room and TV area so I can just chug from.

Reason I use a thermos indoors vs a large cup or somethin' is because I literally will have my water bottle/thermos on the bed when I'm laying down or on the couch when I'm watching TV so I don't have to get up or move once I'm comfortable lol

Last year in my competition run I had a very difficult time getting the water in 6-8 liters a day, was lucky to get 4. That’s not good considering the things I was pinning & orals wasn’t good for keeping my kidneys flushed and healthy. I had to force myself. It’s not like I wanted soda or something else, I just don’t drink a lot of fluids normally.

Now that I’m off season I’m craving water & easily get a gallon a day w/o even training.
drink 1 liter when you get up to get your organs hydrated. If you take pre workout use a liter, intra w/o use a liter, try drinking 1 liter with meals instead of something else even if you have to add crystal lite or something just be cognizant of the calories in those. Next thing you know you’ve got 6-8 liters in you.

Yeah I notice it pretty quick if I slack on water — not even just pumps, just feel “off” overall.
I don’t track it super strict but I’m usually around a gallon give or take. Anything under that and workouts feel flat
