Mt. Rushmore of Golden Era

My Mt. Rushmore of the golden era of bodybuilding (late 60s to early 80s) would include: 1. Arnold, 2. Zane, 3. Franco... I'm stuck on my 4th. The logical choice would be Oliva (based on accomplishments) but he's more of a late 60s guy and I'm not big fan of the sport before the 70s. As far as body goes, I'd put Robbie in at 4, but he didn't win enough. Popularity would go to Lou.

Who's on your Mt. Rushmore from that era? You can do other eras, just don't mix them, please.

I don't know if he belongs in the top 4, but Serge Nubret had a great physique, but also didn't really win anything. But he gave the sport a good bit of popularity, particularly in Europe.

1. Arnold, 2. Zane, 3. Franco agree 100% think that is pretty much a given.

After that I agree with Tommy, Serge had the best physique and honestly for my own body I would rather have his overall physique than Arnold. However, I don't think you can place him up there on the MT. due to his lack of accomplishments in the sport.

Lou competed a little more but he really didn't WIN all that much on the big stage. He had the size for sure but I think some of his lacking's in overall symmetry held him back,

Sergio Oliva IMO would be my 4th. He competed head to head with Arnold and took a couple 2nds to him. Not to mention he was DQ'd one year in his prime where he would have most likely been top 2 again that year.

Being I'm only 53 I was just a baby for most of this so its all just from pictures and books for me. I watched more of the 90's guys but I still prefer the look in the 70's. Guys like Ronnie and Gunther took size and definition to a whole new level.
