This is going to be my journal in the quest to get strong.
My name is Rob and I'm 47 years old. I use to do bodybuilding but have not lifted anything for nearly 3 years due to other commitments, but can now devote myself to being back in the gym. My aim is to get stronger and long term goal is to do a powerlifting meet when I'm 50 ... but that's a long way away yet !!
After some advice from the excellent forum members here I am going to start with the Wendler 531 and see how it goes.
Have spent a couple of weeks getting my 1 rep max and this week I started the cycle.
My weights don't look much compared to some of the logs on here but hopefully with time ( and lots of it ) I'll get to some decent weights.
Any help , advice is greatly appreciated along the way and have seen there are some very knowledgeable members on here.
