While I have always had an extreme distrust of government in generally, especially the politicians, I had a strong respect for the FBI, the secret service, and the Federal Marshals (not so much the ATF). The Ruby Ridge and Waco fiascos I mostly blamed on Janet Reno at the time. The "Russian Collusion" investigating and spying on Trump's campaign wrecked it for me for good with regards to the FBI. But when I heard the Secret Service closed the White House cocaine bag with "no conclusion" I began to question their professionalism. And with the multiple problems with the assassination attempt I've lost it with them too.
I volunteered at the RNC in Milwaukee and one of the mornings I was welcoming delegates at one of the magnetometers and got to meet a female secret service agent working security there. She was a hard ass and I bet tough as hell, so I try to remember its not the individuals serving that are the problem... its the administration of these organizations.
