Had a scheduled 10 day layoff from the gym over Christmas. No work, no gym, no diet, 10 days I didn't have to be me. Got back in yesterday for a light Welcome Back workout and figured I'd do something different. It's been a decade since I did Incline DB Presses so I figured I'd grab the 40's and press out some reps. OMG! Ever see a baby giraffe trying to take his first steps? That was me. I was all over the place. Funny!

Maybe I need to make these part of my workout.

I love them. I do a machine bench press, incline DB press, and cable flyes. It's the perfect amount of chest work for me twice a week.

But yeah, first couple sets back it was shaky.

I pretty much do the same, I start with the hammer strength chest press x 3 sets, incline db 3 sets, high to low cable fly's 2 sets, and regular cable fly's 2 sets. Then I finish off the triceps with an overhead rope/cable tricep press.

I love the incline db's Snake. I know you can press more than 40's though I think you're trying to act humble or something lol.

If you guys have access to a neutral grip chest press I would recommend it. I’ve used one religiously for the past 6 months and my chest has grown more than it ever has. I’ve seen taken the same approach (neutral grip) to my DB Incline/Flat and the results have been the same.

I think that's more forgiving on the RCs.

I do DB inclines almost every chest workout. 100s are my max but I stick around the eighties mostly.

I Rarely do flat barbell presses. I like decline press more. If you bring the bar to your neck you get a great stretch and it hits the full pec muscles.

I've got an old ass set of loadable handles once I get 70 on em ,they start to rattle a bit n feel sketchy , one day a collars going let go and imma smash myself in the head :p

To get more "weight" on them @Trendkill taught me to run bands under the bench and loop the handles , awkward at first but it works great

Awhile back I decided to do some flat bench DBs. Started light with the 40s and worked my way up to the 60s and humping them up was harder then reps of 15. An old buddy from back a UG recommended these. Game changer for anyone who wants to make DB flat bench gains. Temu: $20

They've been around for years. They're all over amazon. Cheap too. I don't use them because I like starting from the bottom.
