I started lifting 4 months ago along with doing cardio. Around 6 weeks I lost about 10 lbs. People have said I've lost weight but I don't see it.
I still have a belly and the scale won't budge anyone.
Could I have gained some muscle in a short time and that's why the scale looks the same?

Use measurements and ignore the scale for now.

To answer your question, yes, that is exactly why we use measurements in many cases. Your waist is the measurement that will matter the most. Regardless of how much muscle you gain, it's the best gauge.

I would go so far as to say that waist is the only one that matters when it comes to weight/fat lost.
So many diet/weight loss clinics push the inches lost bull shit.
"Sheila lost 4 inches this month." What they don't say is that they measured Sheila in 106 spots and added up the measurements and Sheila lost 1/100 of an inch from her fat ass.
