Solid training session today. I broke out a new compression short that I bought. They're the updated version of my old one. These new ones are still tight/ stiff but not as thick. Still, overall I'm happy with them and I'll definitely buy another pair in the near future.

I want to really start pushing my squats and pulls so I'll probably look for a pair of lose fitting briefs to give me more support and protect my hips more and start to really push. I don't want them to tight, so I don't have to fight them when getting into position or hitting depth. I want resistance but not comp tight (training tight).

WK2 - TUES
Sumo Dead - 135, 225, 295, 335x5, 375 x7
Speed Box Squat +70 chain (med box) - 135+C, 185+C x2, 200+C for 4 doubles w/ 45sec rest
RDL conventional - 135, 185x5, 215 x7
Accessories: medgrip mag pulldown, hammer curl w/ rope

As I've gotten older, I've really begun to lean into what one of old coaches would say which is.... just do 50% +1% to cause the adaptation. When I was younger I would go "balls out" and then be wrecked. I've come to realize with time and age... that's not the best way for me to continue to make progress and minimize setbacks.

If you look at my old training journal... even in here, I would do 2x a much work in my training sessions. Some things have changed like my age, my usage, my bodyweight, etc so I've had to tweak things to make progress while adapting to these changes.

I'm not saying my way is right or wrong but for me at the moment... I believe it's the most advantageous. This could change as I've been invited to a private PLing gym and to be honest I miss it. I miss the camaraderie, the environment, etc. I just know I'd have to keep myself in check which I believe I can do at this point in my life.

And I do plan on picking up more chain and incorporating more chain into my training, add in backdown sets, etc. b/c I do still have numbers I want to hit at this smaller version of myself.

I got into backdown set when I work my wave progression for main movers - that's sort of a stretched texas method so its not a ton of reps , 10/5/3/2/1/1 for heavy days up to 92% so I added in 3 backdown sets - 6 reps at 80% - 8 reps at 75% and an amrap set to burn it all out at 70%

It works great just mind your fatigue and recovery curve after 4/5 weeks I never plan deloads ,, they just happen organically when I've had enough.

I only plan on adding 1-2 backdown sets on my heavy days. Slowly add volume and keep fatigue controlled as best I can.

Had to rush today but still got in and was happy with my main lifts. Weight is up a lil and I'm feeling good. I don't feel frail and fragile like I did at 225. I'm hovering a bit over 230 and this is a weight where I feel resilient and strong.

Also, started my GHK-Cu. I'll be taking 1.5mg EOD (Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun). In 2 months, I'll add NAD+ to the protocol and then after Peru I'm thinking of adding a 3rd compound. We'll see.

WK2 - WED
Floor Press +40chain -95+C, 130+C x3, 155+C, 180+C, 205+C x5
Standing OH Pin Press - 85, 110, 130 x3, 150, 170, 190 x2
Accessories: Iso Row, Rear Delt, Straight bar Pressdown

I'm always reading and thinking things over and I believe at this point... my longevity protocol will be BPC-157, NAD+, GHK-Cu, and T. Cyp.

I'm not 100% certain of the BPC. I'm still on the fence if there may be a better choice but for the moment, I don't believe there is.

TRT - hormones, strength, recovery
GHK-Cu - cellular repair, collagen, tissue health
NAD+ - mitochondria, recovery, energy production
BPC-157 - tendons, joints, gut, inflammation

This is also the most cost effective protocol I can currently come up. It's not pricey and covers 8-9 of the 10 major biological systems that decline as we age.

We'll have to wait and see. I'll use myself the guinea pig for the experiment and we'll see. I'm trying to optimize the systems without over taxing them and also without costing me to much.

Looking for high ROI and low cost.
