The promoter is the same guy who started Coachella. He started out booking punk bands, which is his true love. He has promoted shows with all of those bands in the past, most of them many times. He likes very few of the performers at Coachella for the last 10 or more years. This show is a labor of love. It might have been conjured up after a conversation with a swine. There would be other big names from the So Cal scene but many are already committed to the NOFX last shows in October, so contractually they could not sign on to this. So this is like Coachella for punk. He's the only one who could have pulled this off. He knows *everybody*.
