Hey Bros - It's been a while. Just did my first full power meet. Age 55 at 181lbs. I don't normally bench but did it to grab a number - 250, 335 squat and 455 sumo dead for a 1040 total. I missed my last attempt at dead for 475 but I'm determined to get it at regionals in March. Planning on training like an animal until then.

Stay strong.

I was the only guy in my 55-59 / 181lb class. More like challenging your self (and maybe a few other guys in other age and weight classes).

Thanks everyone for the good words and encouragement.

Stay strong!

That's great brother. I got a late start to lifting myself (late 30's) but found it very rewarding. I hope I can still lift when I'm your age. Meets are a lot of fun and can be addicting. Keep pushing those weight brother!

Congrats!

Remember, Ernie Frantz did his best lifting in his 50's! Your numbers are just a great start for you.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the encouragement. Here's to hoping for many for years of lifting and meets. :weightlift:
