So I hope no one takes this the wrong way, because I do mean it as a compliment... but I'm really enjoying the "old man energy", or let's call it maturity, of this board.

People on my "home forum" can have too much energy at times. It's nice to be part of a calmer forum where I can just read and relax.

Where I come from, timeline-wise, "old man energy" is a contradiction in terms. But your compliment is based on your instincts about two complementary boards with common goals and different approaches that may appeal to different folks at different times.

Welcome! It’s good to have some more over 40 guys. I lost my way in my 30s for a bit also so I can absolutely relate. Hopefully you didn’t fuck things up too bad. Great place and really cool people
