Favorite place for a Steak

I thought this could be a good thread for all of us, whether local, or traveling. Post up your favorite spots to get steak.

My favorites are

Texas Roadhouse, good Ribeye.
Longhorn Steakhouse, Good Porterhouse
The Palm Steakhouse, Good New York Strip

That's about it, haven't gone to many places

I'm a rib eye guy. I usually just buy at the grocery store and make it myself.

I ate at this steak joint at New York New York hotel and casino in Las Vegas a few years back, damn forgot the name, upscale place with proper attire required, but it was one of the best steaks I've had.

Gartners here in P town,local butcher shop,,,but you gotta cook it yourself,,,but thats ok with me,,,I can do that sheat......

These stick out....if you're traveling, they're worth it. These are the locations that I've personally been to.

Del Frisco's Double Eagle in NYC bone in filet was fantastic. (NYC) Boston has a location on the water (seaport) that has never let us down either but not like NYC.
Shula's steakhouse has the top 1% of beef in the country, dry aged cuts were insane. (Naples and Oralando FL)
Fleming's presentation (Boston location) is always classy. bone in Ribeye was ridiculously good. (Boston MA)
Michael Jordan's steakhouse has a Kansas city strip that melts with flavor (Mohegan Sun Casino CT)
Capital Grille is never a disappointment. Pick any cut and you'll be happy....I think I've tried just about every option there.


Disappointments: Ruth's Chris has gone downhill, although it's clever to undercook the steak, drop it on a 450 degree plate soaked in butter, it just doesn't have the quality that these other places possess.

My backyard grill is the best place! I get my meats from an old Italian meat market. They have beautiful cuts of meat.

The Palm makes a mean steak, Porterhouse for 2 is my deal there
Petere Lugar's - good steak, over rated. At a steak next to Mayor Ed Koch, still didn't make it better.
Michael Jordan's Rib Eye is pretty awesome.
Joe's Stone crab in Chicago (one in Florida too) actually had a great filet on the bone, like butta!

I had a phenomenal ribeye at Longhorn in Florida, probably the best steak I've ever had.

My house. Most places can't make a steak as good as I can.

Took Mrs Flex to Ruth's Chris earlier this year and $300 later we both agreed my steaks are just as good.
