I dont see how any of this helps the average American one bit .. none of it.
If Volkswagen decides to build vehicles over here, or replacement auto parts over here, US construction workers build the factories, US workers work in those factories, and all the ancillary businesses that exist to support those factories are also US workers (e.g., valve shops, tool and die shops, machine shops, diners, bars, etc.)

Those jobs are jobs for average Americans. And they're pretty good paying jobs as well.

And that's just one example. We're also talking other businesses, such as chemicals, etc.

To say that the EU did not have any trade restrictions on US imported goods is a bit of a misnomer. During the Obama years, prior to Trump I, the EU had the following:

Autos: ~10% EU import duty (vs. U.S. 2.5% on cars)
Agricultural products: some processed foods faced tariffs above 20%
Textiles and apparel: Ranged from 8–12%

Must also consider non-tariff barriers:

Agricultural standards:
The EU imposed strict sanitary regulations.
Hormone treated beef: banned in the EU, despite U.S. safety claims.
Genetically modified organisms: heavily regulated and often restricted outright.
Chlorine washed poultry: prohibited in the EU, while common in the US.
EU could have allowed these, required labeling and allowed EU consumers to choose.

Value-Added Tax (VAT)
Although VAT is not a tariff, it a cost disadvantage.
EU VAT rates (15–27%) were levied on imports at the border.
U.S. goods entered with VAT added, while U.S. exporters had no equivalent border tax adjustment.

15-27% cost increase may not be called a tariff, but if you slap it on to the price of the goods, the cost goes up. Call it whatever you want.

I can't speak for any particular company, but I can tell you that a factory in Germany pays almost 2.5-3X more for its energy to run its factory than in the US. Depending on the type of industry, that's a big deal.

Also, the EU has made a regulatory morass, so it's expensive to do business there. We're working to reduce our red-tape. Add in a 15% tariff, and there is an increased incentive, if you're growing, to build that increased manufacturing capacity in the US. That's my view, but sounds like you disagree.

Conservative outlet says that Maxwell, the woman who brought kids to Epstein, Trump and Bill Clinton so those pedos could fuck the kids, is the victim.

We shall see. Both of us can say whatever, but time will tell the real tale. My money is on the U.S., now that we're not shackling ourselves with crazy, asymmetric trade relationships.

This trade deal with the EU is going to further isolate Russia. All that energy purchased from the U.S. is not going to be purchased elsewhere (i.e., Russia). Russia overplayed its hand in Ukraine, and can't seem to extricate itself from that shitshow. I mean, sure they could simply withdraw and go home, but that would be the end of Putin, and that can't happen.

But as Russia's heavily leveraged energy economy continues to suffer, Putin's end might be closer than anyone thinks. If I were him, I'd have a food-taster to have the first bite of each of my meals, and would avoid walking past any upper floor windows.

How is that Carrier factory doing? Hahaha.. Lol.

The Big Beautiful Bill that just passed on July 4 maintained the tax cuts from Trump I, and the Dems all voted against it. Every Dem voted for your taxes to go up on January 1, 2026, not just on rich people, but across the board.

There is no evidence that anyone in the present Trump administration was involved in sex with a minor. I can be for an improved economy and for prosecution of sex crimes at the same time.
