Many military K9 handlers prefer the Belgian Malinois over a German Shepard. Not sure of the reasons why, and I'm taking anything away from German Shepards, but just saying.

Also, don't forget about the Tosa Inu,

Rhodesian Ridgebacks (lion hunters),

and the Tibetan Mastiff (which reportedly sells for over 1 million dollars).

I have a female Rott, and she is the best dog I've ever owned! My next dog will be either a Belgian Malinois or a Pitt, can't decide as of yet. I had more problems with Pitts when I was a walking mail carrier for USPS, I had one come at me tied to a truck tire with a big chain attached; scared the heck out of me to say the least. I work in Animal Control, and we get some nasty ass dogs in my shelter quite often. We currently have a 165lb Great Dane / English Mastiff mix that stands over 6ft tall when upright.

If you wanna see an ungodly nasty dog, look up the Jagd Terrier. Yes, it's a terrier breed dog, but they're used for hunting wild hogs. I'll find a link on YouTube and share it so y'all can see.
