4/19 - Snatch, clean and jerk. Bad morning for the wife so I had to cut it out early so no bench or RDLs.
4/20 - Off day. Went to a wedding with the wife, danced a lot, good times.
4/22 - Back squats - 3x5 @ 225# (had to do this first as both platforms were being used). Heavy snatch, snatch + overhead squat, 95# for 5 singles. Medium clean and jerk, 115# one rep every 90 seconds, 5 rounds total. Bodyweight pull-ups, 4-3-2. Freaking sad how bad those suck due to the shoulder injury.
Just checking out the log man. I haven't been as active as I once was. I am trying to come around more. Welcome to the Den, always glad to have another Vet brother here.
4/24/24 - Strict press, 3x5 @ 95#, felt easy. Front squat, 135x5, 155x5, 185x2 - these felt way easier than I had planned so I went for big jumps. Seated row, 120x5, 130x5, 140x5. Lat pulldowns, 3x5 @ 140#.
Snatch (medium) - overhead squats with 45# for two sets to warm up, then 65# for 5 singles over 5 minutes - form felt pretty solid.
Clean and jerk (heavy) - Worked up to 145# for 5 singles, all felt pretty strong. Committing to the jerk a lot better already.
Bench press - 135x5, 145x5, 155x4. My shoulder does not like barbell benching anymore it seems like - trying DBs next time. And that's okay because I'd rather have a big jerk than a bench anymore.
RDLs - Worked up to 165x5. Not sure I like the barbell for this either, I did it before many times in the past but it seems after my herniated discs my back isn't a fan of it. DBs next time.
Then hiked a few miles with my boys around a lake.
