agree capitalism has lifted more people out of poverty than any government program has ever did or will but we're headed in the wrong direction. we need to return to TRUE capitalism.

"Capitalism should not be condemned, since we haven't had capitalism. A system of capitalism presumes sound money, not fiat money manipulated by a central bank. Capitalism cherishes voluntary contracts and interest rates that are determined by savings, not credit creation by a central bank. It's not capitalism when the system is plagued with incomprehensible rules regarding mergers, acquisitions, and stock sales, along with wage controls, price controls, protectionism, corporate subsidies, international management of trade, complex and punishing corporate taxes, privileged government contracts to the military-industrial complex, and a foreign policy controlled by corporate interests and overseas investments. Add to this centralized federal mismanagement of farming, education, medicine, insurance, banking and welfare. This is not capitalism!" -Ron Paul

True. And when they step in and impose more regs, red tape, taxes, forced redistribution of assets, socialized takeover attempts of entire industries, etc they say it's "capitalism".

Whenever this subject comes up, I always quote the history channels series, "The Men Who Built America". If we didn't have capitalism, then we wouldn't have America.

Unbelievably Australia has the highest worth in inheritance handed down at death. They leave approx 500k to their loved ones, Americans average 173k. That's a sad note for America.
We haven't had a TRUE free market in decades, that and we don't manufacture anything anymore. We went from a supplier to a consumer nation overnite

we didnt have a true global economy in the past. automation is taking over more and more. when thing that is guaranteed is change and there will be change. pure, unregulated capitalism can not and will not sustain people in the future.

you have it backwards. it's capitalism that will save us if we can ever get to it. maybe after the big crash we're going to have it'll wake people up as to how govt central economic planning had completely failed. And the main culprit is the federal reserve system.

If I am not mistaken, I might know who this poster is, and he's an American liberal living in China. Don't let him get you too rustled up.
