I've been working out for several years and all of the sudden a few years ago my body seems to have a difficult time processing bread and other similar foods. I get tested and I have a bad wheat allergy. I keep eating the way I typically had and my stomach was bloated all the time, ache, fatigue, depression and brain fog. So I looked into some different diets and it seems that when I cut out gluten, breads, beer, and other similar wheats my stomach is somewhat ok.

I just want to know if there are any other people who workout who have to eat gluten free?? And if so, do you have any good resources to suggest for trying to gain muscle on a gluten free diet?

You can gain just as much on gluten free as you can otherwise.

Two words: rice, potatoes.

Eat ample rice and potatoes with your steak and eggs and fruits and veggies, and there is no reason you shouldn’t have enough good sources of food to hit really high calories, while staying gluten free.

I don’t do gluten because I just feel better and look better without pasta and bread and wheat, etc. No allergy, but just a noticeable difference so why eff with it? And I’m fairly lean, 6’3” 255lbs.

Gluten free is certainly no reason not to gain.
