I think within parts of the community there is still this belief that lower SHBG = Higher free test = bigger gains -the end-, which there is some validity to reducing SHBG but the body likes certain things in ratios and that is often disregarded I feel.

I know years and years ago in some of my circles there was this belief that you keep estrogen as low as possible without completely crashing it because "estrogen bad!" but again its about ratios, and the positive effects estrogen has on say lipids was either not known at the time or dismissed.

I think it's more that people believe that once Test is bound to SHBG, that that's the death of the testosterone, which simply isn't the case.

The SHBG is a transporter, it will release the testosterone, it's not locked away forever.

I have better workouts and am stronger when my estrogen is a bit higher.

I cant give an exact number some where between listening to soft rock and buying flowers for the ol lady "just because" is my limit ... once I get to tearing up over ASPCA commercials and Celine Dione songs , its time for the arimidex or aromasin

I've used VAR several times. Recently had a better experience with Winny. I ran it at 50mg/day for 5 weeks as a finisher, but that's me.

My guess is, your other gear is really kicked in and you're reaping the benefits. It's not a couple days of Var that does that.

I did read something that you said that I found a little concerning. You talked about possibly not coming off. Can you explain what you meant by that?

High E2 can cause HDL to fall and SHBG to rise, even with high serum testosterone levels. High E2 can also elevates hepcidin (iron regulator), thus reducing iron absorption, which likely contributes to low ferritin and high-normal total iron-binding capacity (TIBC). While high serum testosterone may contribute to lower SHBG, it is not the sole factor, and the interaction between these hormones is influenced by various physiological and metabolic processes.

I've found that different people respond differently to anavar. For some it's just "ok," then for others it's the nectar of the Gods.

I personally love it. It does affect my liver numbers though, so I have to be careful with it because of that. I can run 20mg a day for 3-4 mos and stay within range, or run 50mg and stop at the 2 month mark.

It doesn't really mess with my cholesterol numbers, but I have really excellent cholesterol overall.

The strength increase is great, for me around week 2 everything just starts to feel lighter in the gym.

Hey, just to clarify, I will definitely be dropping down to a cruise dose eventually. I'm just not entirely sure when. My coach is making decisions based on how I'm responding to everything, and we're seeing how it goes.

I'm finishing my third week of Anavar this week. Then I'll be taking a break from orals, and we're getting blood work done to see how it has affected me overall, just so I can better understand how orals impact me.

As of right now, there will probably be a two-month cruise or something like that later in the year, and then potentially starting more of a bulk. I'm considering focusing on potentially wetter compounds at the end of the year.

That's what we're doing and trying. So far, I am responding incredibly well to everything, and yeah, it's badass.

I'm thinking about doing 6 weeks on Anavar myself. I did a couple beginner test cycles back in 2016-2018 time frame. At that time I think Anavar was kind of new and a little harder to get and sketch on the legitimacy. So I did Tbol instead. So I'm interested in following your thread here. I'm 46 now and haven't touched anything since 2018, but recently went to a local T clinic and got on some TRT, and thought why not throw some Anavar on top. LOL. So still have to do the whole research thing and see if I can even get some.

Anavar was a favorite of mine on mild cycles, NPP, Mast P, Var and Test.
