Glad to see you posting regularly. If your history of posting proves true, this is going to be a great journal!

Sorry to hear about your close encounter with that drill bit. Were you working on your new house?

Box Squat
220 x 4 x 2, 265 x 3 x 2, 310 x 3 x 2

Deadlift
135 x 3 x 3, 175 x 3 x 2

First time deadlifting in a number of months. Still have some pain in my lower right hip/back area while working the deadlift. Might be a slow process to get back up to my normal training range. I also missed a couple workouts this week as I put a power drill through my fingernail. Fortunately the main damage is to the nail and not below it although I ripped a nice chunk of meat off. Holding a bar might be a challenge in the next week or two.

You need to pick up Becoming a Supple Leopard by Starrett. It will help you fix your hip/low back issue.

Nah, putting together a free standing towel rack. House is being built via a builder. I'm only going to do the landscaping, fencing, etc.

Thanks.

Placed an order on amazon for it. Should be here in 2 weeks.

Bench Press

Meadows Row
90 x 10, 110 x 10, 120 x 10, 135 x 10

Foam rolled my lower back the other day after the deadlifting and hurt like shit for a day or so. Felt ok this morning, a little tender but ploughed through the session like farmer on crack cocaine. VERY happy with the 285 on bench. Starting to reach PR territory there.

Good work germania, I hope the injuries are recovering quickly. What are your stats, just curious?

5'11 at a fat 240 lbs. Not sure body fat percentage but I'm probably sitting around 22%. I want to get down to 220 again. 210-220 is ideal for me.

PRs for the big boy exercises:

Bench: 355
Squat: 395
Deadlift: 550

550 is some serious weight on the Deadlift. Are those PR's current or your best numbers ever?

There's a big gap between your deadlift and squat. What are you doing to bring your squat up? Are you doing any speed work, pause work, etc? What stance and bar placement are you using?

Some good numbers man. Sounds like a good goal, you'll get there. Keep up the hard work

Best ever. I wouldn't be able to hit those right now.

I just do pause box squats right now. I spent a number of months doing DE squat work and using accommodating resistance but neither really had much effect so I dropped them and only use it as a change up now. The band work actually seem to cause more issues than provide benefits. I use a shoulder width, high bar placement.
