Hmmmmm, I will continue to consume. With a quick search on the google I found -plant based proteins generally have a lot more lead. Of course i do not do plant based stuff unless it is a plant. Plant based to me just means processed. I will stick with Whey isolate.

Isn't it a little ironic that the vegetarian /vegan formula is higher in lead for the most part? They do talk about how their lifestyle is healthier.

Oh, you are not telling me anything I do not know. Fake meats and highly processed crap. No thanks. Meat, fruit, veggies and some grain. All I need. Not impossible burger made with soy leghemoglobin and Methylcellulose. You know what is in steak? one ingredient.beef.

I hunt deer. That means scouting, killing, field dressing, processing, packaging, and ultimately cooking my harvest. When asked by a vegan /vegetarian how I can eat deer, my response is always the same

If God did not want me to eat deer, he wouldn't have made them out of meat.

This article has been making the rounds. It honestly scares the fuck out of me because I supplement with protein powder and humapro a lot.

I like that the Isopure and ON sampled good. I wonder about fairlifes because those are my downfall, also the humapro. Neither were tested. At least I don't do plant based, and that seemed to be the worst.

I'm also concerned about all of the artificial sweetners in most of this shit because one that is used a lot has been loosely linked to dementia.

I guess it's near impossible to stay away from some stuff that's not good for us.

My protein powder is Nutricost Whey Protein. It's not pricy and does have 3rd party testing for contaminates and purity, As for the testing, I'm not sure that's public information but at the minimum, if something is off, they have knowledge of it and probably a legal responsibility of disclosure.

As for the sweeteners, Mio is my go-to. They use Stevia which has not had any issues thus far.

Damn it ,, Lead and Window are my two favorite flavors !!
Mine too brother, but best when I wear my helmet.

While I wouldn't dismiss this report, I wouldn't read too much into it either unless they were extremely high and they received a letter from the FDA, which you can look up. There are heavy metals in just about everything. More in our water supply than anywhere else. I spent about 80% of my time when working on my degree, researching and writing papers on water contamination. Nearly every major body of water in the US has been listed as contaminated with heavy metals since 2016. You don't have to drink it either for it to be a problem. You swim in it, eat fish from it, eat animals that drink from it and eat vegetables that are irrigated with it.
