To add a much less knowledgeable comment... Haha.... I started to use a normal overhand for pulls after talking to an old guy at the dog park that tore both his biceps with the over under grip. Apparently he used to be big into powerlifting... Pulled over 8, squatted and benched over 7. It's a small world... Haha.

EEEK I worry about stuff like that!!!

Do guys that pull huge weight use it on their big pulls?

You heard of Vince Urbank? He's pulled 9+ with a hook grip. Steve Goggins pulled 9 with a hook grip at my old stomping ground. SS and I only pull with a hook grip.

BrotherIron I'm learning the names...I'm learning the grip....I'm learning everything. I'm on an enormous learning curve right now and very blessed with some great teachers.

Those are amazing people and to hear they pulled with hook is fascinating to me.

I really appreciate your help with this. You asked how my coach is doing and how that is going: He's pretty incredible and its going great! I making some great gains already.

Lots of glute bridges, feeling the burn I'm sure. How'd you like the sumo dl's?

I liked them brother!!! The glute bridges activated my glutes before I squated.

Once you figure out the Sumo Pull... The Glutes really get worked. I've been walking around for a week now with a muscle in one cheek knotted up. lol

Looked like a "dead" leg workout. Looks like you hit every part of your legs. How are those hamstrings holding up with those sumo lifts?
