Welfare and drug testing

I say fuck the goverment ..wefare is just another tool for them to controll and spy on u..I rather stand on the freeway and beg for food or steal the food before i allow the goverment to invade my world...
Now my oppion on this drug testing...NO...Because its just another form of controll by your goverment...There is enough laws being passed every year ..thats the fucking problem now,,,,And besides there are many of ways to beat a drug test..And those that ride the system will figure out when to get clean before the drug testing..Just a waste of money.And trust me what ever parish u reside inn..they will tax u somehow to pay for this testing....The goverment is not going to pass a new law unless they know where they will get the funding...More then likey more taxing....Maybe a higher water bill or sewer bill....?who knows..U will pay for it....dw

The thing that pisses me off is that a lot of these people a very capable of working.my mates sister is down syndrome and she works at a chocalate factory,catches the bus goes to work pays her taxes.i don't mind the govt helping the disadvantage tho.

I deliver mail in the ghetto and can tell you most of all the gvmnt assistance is a GROSS MISUSE. I have cased welfare-Soc Sec-and Disability checks in for one adress and they also get EBT card-food stamps. Here's a story that'll have you seeing red-I am heading down street to drop mail in box-walk past the14 yr old girl holding her baby talkin' to her mom she says" you needs to have you another baby so you can gets paid some more!"-NICE HUH? one women bragged to me she was a great grandma-she said " How many great grandmas youknow under 45 ?" Makes me fuckin' sick. I could write a damn book about the shit I see

I know a guy who delivers mail in the ghetto to and he says all the niggas there are assholes and tell him to not even come in his yard unless he has there welfare check. He kindly tells them that hes sorry and they still bitch and cuss at him. Fucking lazy ass niggas

I've known people on parole, probation, welfare and they all have legit scripts for oxy or adderall, and what about the medical marijuana scripts people in 13 states can get now? It really doesn't matter if the states piss test welfare recipients. They will find a way around the drug test. Most welfare recipients take pills, very few are actually crack heads or heroine junkies. Those people are pretty evident among social services employees. The only thing drug testing is going to do is line the pockets of the testing companies and the politicians that push for this law. Remember, druggies only take what their doctors prescribe!

Its a self perpetuating cycle, the Doc is guaranteed to get paid, via Uncle Sam, the Doc has a guaranteed customer that will be back each month....not like welfare scum is going to miss an appointment because of a job or other wise. The scum gets their script for $1 and so it goes.

That's a good point because when the government starts drug testing it is probably going to test for everything it can think of, prescription drugs included. Then when you test positive you have to bring your medical records and prove that you have a legitimate prescription. So now the government has a record of your medical history too. Your doctor/patient right to confidentiality just went out the window.

Also, everybody who is in favor of drug testing but who also use illegal substances (such as performance enhancing substances) seems to think that once the government starts its drug testing it would never expand the testing to include other things, such as unemployment benefits, and would never test them for their particular drug of choice. There is no compelling reason to believe that the government would stop. In many states possession of steroids, even for personal use, is a felony.

In some respects all of us druggies are in this together. Either we have a right to do what we want with our bodies or we dont. Either we stand together against drug testing or we watch as other people lose their rights, and finally, there will be no one left to protest when we lose ours.

I dont think the solution to the welfare problem is more drug testing. I think the solution is to stop the free money handouts and end the welfare system in this country as it currently exists. Period.

Who cares if people give up rights to accept welfare money? If testing is a problem, why not find a job and get off of welfare. Same thing for national health coverage. If people are using and abusing the system, stick it to 'em.

It's akin to giving up certain rights to join the military or really any job. There are rules that need to be followed to get what you want, and limitations should especially apply to tax expenditures!

Slippery slope? Not necessarily any more than signing up for military service. Make it a contract. Something in exchange for not being a freeloading addict. There should be limits for those who are able to work, such as social programs or community service, which I believe was already mentioned in this thread.

I would agree with some of this but this society of citizens in this country per state ejects the officials that make the laws. Its our own faults as a whole. We have the power tho to break this government up and put younger not yet corrupted people into office that have a better take on things bijou some 80 year old guy that grew up in the 50's and 60's when times were different. I will bet 10 to 1 most of them don't even more how to I use a computer hence having people working for them. Since the Roman empire politicians were always known for 1 unmistakeable fact; corruption. Anyway to skim the till they would figure out out. Out tax dollars pay them. If this country was based on intelligence and not solely on the dollar Bush #2 would have never became president, jfk would never have been killed, vietnam would have never happened, if the plan set fourth in the Declaration of Independence was followed everybody I'm this country would not be allowing corruption to dictate or lives and how we live. What people don't realize is that our society is way too evolved in the entitlement programs to ever give it up. Generations of worthless dirtbags have been conditioned to try and get on welfare. I don't really agree with it, but think for 1 second if you take welfare away what would happen. Your wives, husbands and kids could not goto the grocery store without the threat of being accosted by those less fortunate. It would create a true 3 and 4th class of citizen within the country. Look at all the third world countries that have no real welfare system. Crime is rampant and the slums are plagued by violence and death. I'm bet not many of you have seen shanty towns or true slums like in Brazil or SE Asia, but I can assure you they are not pleasant places to see or visit. If we do away with welfare things will get very frightening and difficult for those that actually contribute to society. Just look at Mexico, S. Africe, and S. America where it's not uncommon to see gated communities with armed guards with machine guns patrolling the grounds. Or when you send your kids to school they need a armed escort. It sucks but that's what we have conditioned our people to accept within a certain degree. Take that away and get ready for real class warfare. Not this shit they talk about on Fox or CNN.

So the theory is that we Americans are all so weak and pathetic that we must pay these losers welfare benefits so they will not rise up to bully and steal from us? I have a different solution that seems more firmly grounded in American traditions and the Second Amendment. My theory is dont try to rob me or I will shoot you, and if you survive you can go to prison after that.
