I have a LOT of my hard earned cash taken from me by the federal government and used to kill millions of people in countries around the world. People I don't know. People who did nothing to me. I would rather not kill strangers and use some of that money that I pay to save the lives of my neighbors.

But I'm kinda crazy I guess. The money is there already. America just chooses to use the money on military adventurism and corporate subsidies and NOT to take care of our own.
I am in agreement with you that these psychopaths that control the propaganda mill and inflict this belief that we are saving democracy by killing millions and stealing their natural resources is the devil's work (if that's what you believe).

I will point out that tax payer money, that comes out of every pocket, yours and mine, has funded much of the research which has lead to medical advancements at current, both techniques and pharmaceuticals, I would think providing healthcare should also come with that.

Why pay for research that we then have to pay again at a premium to utilize? If we use the NIH budget as a guide, 48 billion dollars of tax payer dollars, that's quite a bit, there is other research dollars that come from DARPA/DOD, HHS, etc so I imagine its ALOT more than just the 48bil.

Having a system where one can become trapped at a job because the thought of losing healthcare will be crippling is not a "good" system. No one should have to fear for their health and wellbeing in order to live, or put off medical care because of cost or access. That's not a socialistic idea as much as a humanistic idea. I do think all people should contribute to society but in return society should take care of the people, not businesses as businesses only have themselves, and ultimately profits, in mind. I am for much smaller government, way smaller than we have now, but government that actually does things that people give a shit about and where people can actual see the benefit of what they pay into and not the bloated nonsense we have currently.
I don't see the equivalence you draw.

How is this a win? Is this what “Great again” means? Great for who ?? Certainly not for everyone who’s careers / means of living are lost.

Meanwhile at the Hyundai plant in Georgia they arrested 450 illegals working there. Thats 450 people taking American jobs and at just one factory. Multiply that by maybe 10,000 and you might come close to the number of "living wage" jobs that would have to come back to Americans.

It’s a largely dead point IMO referring to “American jobs.” It’s a no brainer that like it or not, believe it or not - we’re a deeply global economy in this modern age and there’s less and less of “US” and more and more “WE” necessity for survival. We’re all dependent upon one another (global country contributions).
As sexy, nostalgic, or whatever folks want to refer to the idea as, “America First” is most accurately just a senseless cliche.
With how rapidly AI dominance is going to alter every aspect of our world order, the workforce structure, manufacturing and so forth, is a moot point. Existence / life / lifestyle as we’ve known it and think of it is coming to an end soon.

40% of parts for US Made vehicles come from overseas. This begin in the 80's. This nothing new.

As I said before, Tariffs can be useful but you need a process in place to support manufacturers such as incentives to move to a more of the manufacturing to the US. When you pull the rug out you need to ensure now one from your team is standing on it. It is not that hard.

Bingo.

Most Trump supporters think that simply enacting tariffs is enough. It is a simplistic mindset that ignores all the real business realities faced by manufacturers and supply chains.

Trump has tricked his supporters into thinking that the solutions of all of our problems is simple. Everything is simple.

Trump has no real desire to fix any issues. it is all about posturing for the cult members.

Ever stop and wonder why this is even necessary? Why not fine any business who hires or allows continued employment from an improperly documented worker (undocumented or holding an expired document) with extreme fines? Removes the need to flood American streets with deep state thugs.

Why? Because Trump wants the spectacle.

Trump doesn't want to fix anything, he wants to appear strong to his cult member followers.

The simplicity of the people who believe that a policy change is going to fix a trade policy is dumb. Any CEO or business executive can look at the business market and see we all need to work together. If you want to bring factories back to America or build more parts here, incentivize the corporations for it.

Prices are already high, so let’s drive them up even more. Let’s make everything less affordable. Because when costs skyrocket, what do people actually do? They will buy less and spend less. We are seeing the results. Exactly why trump wants to fire the people with the jobs reports and the fed chair. He wants people similar to him, to lie to people and spread misinformation that isn’t based on facts. He knows all of his followers won’t do research with details.
