I believe the US has generally always been, and increasingly (in a strange new age technocratic manner) so, is a great global perversity. And the more it self fixates, the worse the perversity becomes.

I think the US has no cards, so to speak. Canada can produce everything it needs without us. Agriculture, cattle, fish, raw minerals, ore, timber, tech, etc. But our industry needs them.
