You could check and see if anyone is selling powerlifting bars on powerliftingwatch. You can get HUGE deals on that site.

Competition bars' quality is a huge deal. The $1200 squat bar we have in the gym was well worth it when I take 1100 or teammates take 1200+and it doesn't whip.

Specialty bars aren't such a big deal. Get the cheapest one you can find. Shoot, half of ours were made by no name shops and just have grip tape instead of knurling but they work just the same. Getting something like this for half the price means more bars, more chains, and more variety.
