I recently went off proton pump inhibitors because of their effect on my kidneys, bad blood work. Heartburn has already been a nightmare. I'm trying everything under the sun to keep it under control. I think ramping up on doses regardless of that is probably a good idea.

My wife and I are trying it out now starting with quarter doses and slowly ramping up to 1 mg per week but we are breaking them down into daily shots. I do notice I take the shot early in the morning and I'm not hungry until about mid- late afternoon. The only downfall I'm finding is I don't have a lot of energy very lethargic since I'm not taking in many calories but that could just be psychosomatic.

We are both on the fairly lean side just seeing how the stuff may affect and fine-tune things. Our biggest problem is we are huge foodies and we love love to eat and we're hoping this may help with that

Phentermine works great but I have high blood pressure and that just makes it terrible.

Also it's a good experiment to see how things play and we can nudge our clients to go see a doctor if it seems viable and doable.

I have never heard of that before so I did a quick look up the possible side effects from the surgery look a bit unnerving and it says it only lasts 2 to 3 years. Is that the information you received? How is it going for you?

No one here would do the linx procedure so that was my only option, I had to get off PPIs my kidneys were getting worse. Everything I read was 90% people still happy after 10yrs.
Recovery sucks still on liquids and soft food. No reflux for roughly 26 days so far. Have vomited a few times, more like regergatation but only small mouth fulls when I've eaten food in not ready for yet. Sides so far gas build up, hard to burp.

Was thinking about the PPI and renal function issue this week. Been having considerable foaming during urination so I bought some protein sticks, maybe a trace measured after different time of the day. Creatinine has been stable for years, but thinking of switching to an H2 drug for relux. Been on lansoprazole and celebrex for about 20 years, don't want to push it. Have a moderate size hiatal hernia and without PPIs I have serious heart burn and don't want Barretts. Cut the dosing back to once a day and it is OK. Will talk to my doc next month about switching and see along with a 24 urine protein sample.
