NEW DELHI: Phil Heath successfully defended his Sheru Classic men's professional bodybuilding title after an exciting and nail-biting final on Sunday.
This is the second title that Heath has won in the last one week after winning Olympia last Sunday. He faced stiff competition from Kai Greene who finished runners-up yet again.
While Heath was awarded $60,000 on winning the Sheru Classic title, Greene took home $40,000.
In the women's Professional Figure Championship, Figure Olympia Champion Erin Stern defeated defending Sheru Classic Champion Nicole Wilkins to emerge winner and bag $7,000. Wilkins was awarded $5,000.
The 20-year-old Indian-American Bikini athlete Nicole Nagrani won the Professional Bikini Category which has been introduced in this edition of Sheru Classic Professional Championship.
The other new category of Professional Men's had American Air Force Master Sergeant David Henry taking home the title and $7,000. London Olympics Bronze Medalist wrester Sushil Kumar graced the occasion as chief guest.
The Sheru Classic Professional Championship 2012 saw fierce competition among world's leading professional bodybuilders and figure athletes across four major categories for an overall prize money of $210,000.
