Could Pangea V be the reason there are so many busts lately?

http://www.interpol.int/Crime-areas/Pharmaceutical-crime/Operations/Operation-Pangea

"Combating the sale of illegal medicines online

Operation Pangea is an international week of action tackling the online sale of counterfeit and illicit medicines"

It was ran from September 25th until October 2nd. My guess could be that they've gathered all of their information in that time and are now making the remaining busts because of it? There are over 100 countries participating in the Interpol managed program...

Even thought some of the labs busted in the US region didn't seem to be 'online' I'm sure they could have been on a board somewhere or maybe they were just traced from their online activities or the things they said (possibly even that they visited a ton of home brew websites) and then this suspicion led to further things.

Thoughts?

Could be... It looks like they are targeting the online pharmacies where you might get viagra, HCG, anti-biotics and such. If gear is accompanying these shipments, then sure. Otherwise I doubt it. When LE targets steroids, they target STEROIDS because it gets more headlines.

But if you look at part of Pangea V you will see:
"Some 133,000 packages inspected by regulators and customs authorities, of which around 6,700 were confiscated"

So even if the focus was on say Viagra over Testosterone, it would be a far stretch of the imagination to try and deny that steroids weren't also in their focus, even as a secondary target. I'm sure from what I can read that in the briefing the inspectors would be told to look for vials and such, not just pills. Even though it seems pills may have been the focus. This might not directly be a targeted attack on anabolic substances but it sure as hell carries all the same characteristics when they're searching packages. Wether it be pills, powder or oil they would have all been scrutinised more carefully during this period. Meaning a greater capture rate of underground labs and busts.

Also, if there was a new 'raw deal' going on (targeted attack on steroids) I'd be expecting a lot more busts. There may only be a few going on but it is more than the normal amount.

Busting places selling antibiotics and Viagra will surely make the world a safer place for old vaginas and germs! Too bad the government won't put some effort into fixing the economy. Or cleaning up the.. Government.
