New bill to add substances to banned steroid list

The House on Monday passed legislation that would expand the types of muscle-enhancing anabolic steroids subject to federal regulation.



Passed by voice vote, the measure would add 25 new substances to the list of anabolic steroids regulated by the Drug Enforcement Administration. Additionally, false labeling of anabolic steroids would be subject to a penalty of up to $500,000 per violation



The bill, titled the Designer Anabolic Steroid Control Act (DASCA), would further authorize the attorney general to issue a permanent order to add a substance to its definition of anabolic steroids.



Rep. Joe Pitts (R-Pa.), the bill's sponsor, said it would prevent manufacturers from selling supposed all-natural muscle enhancers that are actually just modified chemical versions of existing steroids.



"DASCA will protect consumers from these harmful products by giving the DEA the tools and authority to classify designer steroids as controlled substances," Pitts said.



Del. Donna Christensen (D-Virgin Islands) said the measure would help keep unsafe drugs out of public consumption.



"H.R. 4771 will go a long way to removing dangerous steroids from the market," Christensen said.

I guess up here the strategy is different.

They just tax us to death so we have no disposable income to spend on performance enhancing compounds, whether they be legal or illegal.

Lmao!! I noticed that too. First nomenclature I've ever seen with homo in it.

Most if these are designer steroids/pro hormones that they are wanting to ban. This will hurt a huge market and a lot of businesses.

I can definitely understand regulating this market somewhat. There are a lot of issues with PH/DS being so readily available to anyone. A few IMO are:

1. Any young kid can snatch a bottle of halodrol or methylstenbolone or something and have no clue what he's doing and jack himself up. Happens often. Definitely should have a 21 years of age requirement.

2. Most of them are marketed to be ran with some OTC bullshit, pct. Meanwhile most of this compounds need SERM's at the end. Most definitely will shut you down and can produce just as many, if not more sides than running gear.

Etc, etc. I've had some good runs with some PH/DS but also had some of the worst shutdowns in my life on them before I really knew what I was doing. I was a young kid that bought some superdrol having no idea what it was and the results were great until my last cap was gone LOL. Then I entered the gates of hell, and could have been worse.

I think this is mostly after the PH/DS that aren't taken as serious or called what they truly are, designer steroids. Just steroids with a change in the chemical makeup, a very slight one.

But also, maybe with this shit off the shelves it will take a little spotlight off real gear.
