Ok here is a dilemma, If someone owes you over $20K but he let everybody know he is in debt with you for this amount. So if anything happens to him someone will say well he owes this person $. You're now suspect! What is a reasonable way to seek retribution or payment without hurting any of this persons loved ones or this person physically? I know this can get complex but I would like to hear some opinions. Do not ask if somebody owes me 20 grand. It is just a question dont read into it. Respectfully,Wake

If sombody owed me 20k they would have some Collateral otherwise they wouldn't owe me 20k if they didn't want to give up there collateral then I guess I'd have to put the hammer down.

Im with Gstaker no collateral no problems.

Unfortunately, I have been in this situation a few times, sometimes I got my money other times I didnt. I almost lost my freedom over a POS like this & we even made the local news for 2 days here. It depends on who your dealing with. Some people can be pursuaded others cannot, especially if they've spent your money. Keep in mind some folks would rather die than give it back. If thats the case and you dont want to be a suspect/inmate then consider it money well spent. Everyone makes mistakes I wouldnt beat yourself up about it just move on.

Or you could...Naw

Or you could....Na

Keep your head up.

Here's some words of wisdom that are a little late for you.

Never loan someone money you can't afford to lose.

If you have documentation of the loan you can get a lean put on everything he owns.

He's let people know. This means he's probably got it on paper also that if something was to happen to him, he believes that it would be you that is responsible. I have a little experience with this.
My ex is a high priced escort. One of her now ex clients is a producer of a popular tv show on mtv. He went to seeing her once a month to several times per month. The dumb fuck though he was so wonderful that he had himself a girlfriend all of a sudden and stopped paying. She had been playing the part he wanted. Telling him how wonderful he was and that she loved him....like a hooker is supposed to to keep the fantasy going for this lame.
When he stopped paying, she lined up another one of her exs' that is a bodyguard back on the east coast. She documented that this person owed her money and that if anything was to happen to her she felt he was responsible. She made out an invoice and she, along with the bodyguard delivered it in person to his office. The invoice was for just about $25k(funny, huh?) He paid. I would have been happy to go her....as I do these things for her now....but I happened to be incarcerated at the time.
I suppose u just have to try to work out some kind of payment schedule with him brother.

agreed with fury..beating the fuck out of someone is frowned upon nowadays and would not get this persons money back, and may take this person to court and sue and win! ok, court and garnishments are the safest bet bro.

I guess I just figured the debt was for something a little less than honest....criminal thinking. If it was a loan and had nothing to do with anything illegal....then what fury and oldschool said.
