Hello there my brethren's in iron! 3 weeks ago I had a lower back facet injection, I have cervical injections on deck, but one week to the day, supposedly when you start to feel relief, I started not feeling so good..nausea, vomiting and my lower back hurt's more than ever and my right foot swelled up? no, I am not going to the hospital, I have enough doctor appointments to keep me busy for the rest of the summer(I ain't kidding either) just wanted to know if anyone else had something like this happen to them..thanks!

These are actually in the joint of the spine correct? If so, if you could possibly be leaking cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). Some causes of leakage through the dura (spinal chord) include: certain head, brain, or spinal surgeries, placement of tubes for epidural anesthesia or pain medications, and spinal tap (lumbar puncture).

Symptoms include: Light sensitivity, headaches, nausea (nausea can cause vommiting), splitting headaches that tend to get worse when standing and sometimes go away when lying down.

Hope this helps oldschool

I've didn't have any of that. I had some weird numbness in my left leg for a few days (but was warned that could happen) I never felt sick or anything.

I had those injections about 10 years ago and they worked great for me. That's a pretty delicate procedure, I wouldn't let just any doctor do them, there is a fine line between hitting the right spot or being off just a bit. I would tell your doc about it and get it taken care as soon possible. Once you **** up your back, it's never the same. Hope you get it figured out soon bro.

thanks bro, its actually a pain management doctor, my back surgeon doesn't do them, but they just called and said it could be a swelling reaction to the steroid? but, pardon me, ain't that the whole point of the injection? so then they sent the mod-pack or whatever that 5 day steroid anti inflamitory pack is called to my pharmacy. I specifically told them that this is my lower back, but my next injection is next week and thats a little more concerning to me because my neck is on board.

Just remember not all pain management specialists are the same. As in every profession you have good & bad. Be careful bother!
