5' 10" and 185lbs CAN be overweight, but everything depends on what that weight is, i.e. bodyfat %. An all cardio workout is better than what many do, but it is not optimum. Likewise with an all salad diet, if that is what you're doing(?) Read up on strength training, good protein sources, ideal macro % in your meals, as in protein, carbos, fats.
