Same here... boxing has really gone downhill in the last 10 - 15 years.

Yup, I have never liked Mayweather, but he is accidentally keeping boxing alive in his wake during one of its worst downturns. His motivation is to look out for #1, but his swag keeps a sliver of casual fan interest going. He figured out a long time ago you can sell as many seats to people who will gladly pay to see you beaten as you can to ppl who like you.

With or without Floyd, it has been the promoters and the way-too-many governing bodies that have been ruining boxing for some time now.

I'm pretty good at getting my ass kicked. Looks like I'm in the wrong line of work... Jeez never would have guessed boxing pays that well.

The top DJs in the world are paid extremely well too, and you only have to spin for 1hr. Get to travel around the world, free hotels, flights, etc. And you can keep your pretty face intact.
