Hi guys,

Aspiring junior powerlifter here. compete under 90kg (198lb) class with a 160kg(355lb) paused bench and a 290kg(640lb) deadlift raw. squat is about 200kg and needs to go up big big big time so far have only done pull/push comps, and won them all so far, but will need to get my squat way up so I can compete full power!

Here is my most recent vid, over 3 times bodyweight deadlift for 3 reps, was not to failure, will go for 6 reps on the same weight next deadlift day which I think I can get, will post the vid!

I counted four reps, but whatever.

You are very strong and will do well in powerlifting even with your squat at 440. You're looking at a 1400+ total at 198 if you competed tomorrow, which is very good.

Welcome to the board. There are definitely multi-ply guys here, some that are world class. Ask away and pay heed.

Thanks SAD but 1400 is not very good. it is enough to maybe win some compeition since I am a junior, but I need to improve my squat MASSIVELY. I will, as I have only started squatting PL style (low rep training) and learning proper form very recently. That will also bump up my dead 20-30kg hopefully and I am happy enough with my bench since it does not contribute much to a total anyway. Especially in lighter weight classes like mine where the lifter has a longer stroke to push the bar, due to less chest size. Dan green said that his bench only contribute 22% to his 2000+ total.

I still have 2 more years as a junior so my goal is to break some nice records in the next two years!
